Content Advisor

In Windows 7 and Internet Explorer versions after 8 the Content Advisor settings are not displayed in the Internet Settings Control Panel. To access the Content Advisor copy and paste the following in to the Run command dialog (Windows key + R)
RunDLL32.exe msrating.dll,RatingSetupUI

In addition to this a custom shortcut icon can be created. You may be able to copy this icon from a Windows 7 computer that already has it, or:

  1. Open the Administrative Tools folder from the Start menu or the Control Panel
  2. Right-click and choose 'New' and 'shortcut'
  3. Paste the command above in for the 'Location' and click 'Next'.
  4. Name the shortcut 'Content Advisor' and click 'Finish' to complete the shortcut.
  5. Optionally you can give the shortcut a custom icon.
    1. Right click on the new icon and choose 'Properties'
    2. Find and click the 'Change Icon' button
    3. In the 'Look for …' box type or paste the following
      %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll
    4. Scroll to the right, near the end of the list you will find a yellow shield icon with an exclamation point.
    5. Select it and click 'OK' to finish.
